Over here at the Llama Travel offices, we often use the term “flexible group tours”, although what does this actually mean for you? Well it means that you get to pick and choose the places you want to visit, without being limited by a rigid itinerary. Unlike a traditional tailor-made holiday though, you pay group tour prices. How does that work? Each of our holidays consists of a base itinerary, which can either be experienced as a stand-alone holiday, or combined with itinerary “blocks” from different regions within your destination(s) of choice. For example our Peru holidays have a 12-day base programme which visits Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. There are optional add-on extensions too. For example, a 2-night Lake Titicaca extension, a 3-night Amazon Jungle extension and a 2-night Pacific Coast extension. As well as holiday extensions to other countries. For example, a 4-night Bolivia extension, a 6-night Brazil extension and a 5-night Galapagos & Ecuador extension. And here is where the flexibility comes in. You can combine these holiday elements as you wish, opting for a basic 12-day Peru holiday, or upping the ante by including more destinations. Based on the examples listed here, you could have a Peru holiday visiting Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. Or a holiday visiting Machu Picchu, the Amazon and the Galapagos. Or a holiday visiting Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the Amazon, the Pacific Coast and Bolivia. It’s up to you. How do you go about putting all that into action?
